Health & Safety Requirements Policy

Empire Tool is committed to the health and safety of all employees, contractors, clients, and the public. Empire Tool strives to maintain the highest quality health and safety policy. The goal is to provide a safe environment and maintain an incident-free workplace, as far as reason




Safety

Management is committed to the following:

  • Comply with applicable occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations, industry standards, and our own policies. Act in a sound manner, exercise reasonable judgment and common sense when undertaking any work-related tasks.
  • Make safety considerations a top priority in the planning process. 
  • Listen to the concerns of the public. 
  • Continuously improve the impact our operations has on the environment. 
  • Respond to safety emergencies in a prompt, efficient manner. 
  • Ensure employees know their health and safety responsibilities, and resources are available for employee safety training. 
  • If onsite workers are to maintain a pre-job site inspection log, to ensure the worksite is free of any hazards that could cause slips, trips, or falls.  

Employees and contractors of Empire Tool are responsible for the following:

  • Understand any potential health, safety, or environmental issue that employees or contractors may encounter while working for Empire Tool.
  • Workers must be deemed competent before performing all tasks associated with the job.
  • Comply with all federal, provincial, and local OHS acts and legislation.
  • Follow safe work procedures.
  • Wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • The employer will provide equipment that is maintained in a safe condition and is appropriate to the work performed.
  • Participate in safety training, discussions, and meetings.
  • Inform supervisors about any unsafe work conditions or injuries, no matter how small they may seem.
  • Refuse to perform any work or operate and equipment that would put them or any other worker in danger.
  • Take reasonable care to protect themselves and all other workers on a worksite.


Management, employees, and contractors are all committed and encouraged to meet this policy at all times.

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

  

Empire Tool has implemented its Quality Management System meeting industry requirements and exceeding Customer satisfaction. on a global scale. The system allows flexibility for each operational location to supplement with site-specific requirements in accordance with territorial standards.


Our equipment is inspected to API-RP7G and API-5A% specifications, including elevators, slips, tongs, spiders, drill pipe, heavy weight drill pipe, kellycocks and subs. Engineering Reports are available upon request.
